Halifax, NS (September 15, 2025) – KBRS is pleased to announce the promotion of Janice Tanner Ernst to Partner within the firm’s People Strategy practice.
Since joining KBRS, Janice has played a pivotal role in strengthening the firm’s advisory services, supporting organizations with a people-first approach to their most pressing talent challenges. With extensive experience as an HR leader in prominent organizations, she adapts leading-edge thinking to the realities of both small and large organizations. Her expertise spans a full spectrum of strategic HR advisory work , from workforce planning and talent development to compensation consulting, employee engagement, and more. She recently helped the firm launch a unique leadership development program for women with the introduction of REIGNITE.

Before joining KBRS, Janice held senior HR leadership roles for more than a decade with international, manufacturing organizations. Her collaborative style and ability to navigate complex organizational challenges have made her an integral part of the KBRS People Strategy team.

Janice is an active community builder, demonstrating her leadership as Chair of the Health Services Foundation of the South Shore, as board member of Partners for Care, and as a skilled facilitator and speaker on a range of people and culture themes.
