The Waco Family Medicine Foundation, Inc. (WFMF) is searching for its next President to lead and expand this vital healthcare organization’s impact in the community.
The Organization
The Waco Family Medicine Foundation (WFMF) is a cornerstone in Waco's healthcare landscape, raising funds to support the purposes of Waco Family Medicine Center and Institute. The Foundation is key to ensuring financial sustainability and delivering high-quality medical education and research through the WFM Institute, and healthcare services through the WFM Center. It oversees critical elements such as facilities, equipment acquisition, and financial investments, all aimed at advancing healthcare in the region.
The Role
Reporting to the WFMF Board of Directors, the President is the primary executive responsible for the overall administration and management of the Foundation, including financial support of WFM Center, development of Foundation culture, and execution of strategic goals. Together with the Foundation board of directors and in conjunction with WFM Center, the President is accountable for formulating and achieving the Foundation philosophy and strategic direction through their leadership and management. This role demands a leader who can effectively collaborate with stakeholders, manage fundraising operations, and cultivate and maintain donor relationships. The President acts as the chief liaison to the Foundation Board, serving as a non-voting ex-officio member of the Board and all its committees. They oversee governance, strategic direction, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key areas of oversight and responsibility:
• Strategic and Operational Leadership – Leads with vision to drive the Foundation’s strategic goals, creating an inclusive and high-performing culture.
• Fundraising – Drives the Foundation's fundraising efforts by securing major gifts and building strong donor relationships through strategic communications, events, and recognition.
• Partnerships and Community Engagement – Builds and maintains strong relationships with key community and business leaders to enhance the Foundation's reach and impact.
• Asset Supervision – Oversees physical and financial assets to support the operational and strategic needs of Waco Family Medicine Center and Institute.

Qualifications and Experience
• A university degree in a related field such as business administration, communications, for-profit or non-profit management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 years of senior-level management experience, preferably in a healthcare or nonprofit setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and operational leadership.
• A proven track record in fundraising and donor relations, particularly with prominent donors and major foundations.
• A good understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements related to non-profit operations.
• Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive organizational culture.
