The Opportunity

As a key member of the executive leadership team, the Vice President, Finance will play a pivotal role in shaping High Liner’s financial strategy and market positioning. Reporting to the Executive Vice President & CFO, this role offers a unique opportunity to influence the company’s growth trajectory, drive shareholder value, and lead a high-performing finance function within a publicly traded organization.

This is a high-impact leadership role for a strategic finance executive who thrives in dynamic environments. With oversight of financial reporting, compliance, tax, treasury, pensions, and governance, the Vice President will be instrumental in guiding financial performance and transparency across the organization.

The Role

As Vice President, Finance you will:
  • Lead strategic financial planning, reporting, and analysis to support executive decision-making and long-term value creation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Board, Audit Committee, and senior leadership on financial and capital markets matters.
  • Champion modernization and transformation across financial systems, processes, and controls.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a talented finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate Profile

You are an accomplished finance leader with a CPA designation and at least 15 years of progressive experience in large, complex organizations, ideally publicly traded, though experience in sophisticated private companies will also be considered. You bring deep technical expertise in IFRS, securities regulation, taxation, treasury, and pensions, along with a proven ability to lead financial reporting and strategic planning functions.

A confident communicator and trusted advisor, you thrive in high-stakes environments and have the executive presence to engage with boards and auditors. You are a collaborative leader who empowers teams, drives performance, and builds strong cross-functional partnerships. With a passion for innovation and a commitment to excellence, you are ready to make a lasting impact on High Liner Foods’ future.
