North Atlantic is seeking a strategic and future-focused Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead enterprise IT and cybersecurity across a multi-national, operationally complex environment. The Role
Reporting to the CEO and COO, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a key member of North Atlantic’s executive leadership team and is accountable for delivering innovative, secure, and scalable digital infrastructure to support North Atlantic’s integrated operations. This role provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of enterprise IT and cybersecurity across a multi-national, industrial environment. The CIO ensures our digital infrastructure enables resilience, scalability, and regulatory compliance, while supporting innovation and operational performance across all business functions and geographies. They ensure complete integration, along with the integration team, of IT systems following international acquisitions, continuity, security, and alignment with enterprise standards including compliance with all regulations in Canada and the EU. In the immediate future, they will be responsible for delivering a 3-year IT and cybersecurity roadmap aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements, including a plan to advance ERP (NAV and SAP) and reporting systems to enable real-time analytics, audit readiness, and financial accuracy.

- Strategic Digital Leadership: Sets the strategic vision for enterprise IT, aligning technology with business priorities. Leads digital transformation initiatives that support modernization, performance, and innovation across the organization.
- Enterprise Systems and Infrastructure: Overseeing North Atlantic’s IT architecture, ensures robust, integrated systems across ERP (NAV and SAP), OT, and industrial platforms. Enhances reporting capabilities, system reliability, and IT/OT convergence.
- Cybersecurity and Risk Management: Drives cybersecurity strategy and risk mitigation, ensuring adherence to global standards and regulations, such as the NIS2 Directive. Leads compliance efforts, data protection, disaster recovery, and implements audit and continuous monitoring frameworks.
- Data Governance and IT Operations: Develops a unified enterprise data governance model for improved data quality and operational insights. Accountable for effective data management and operational excellence, builds frameworks for data governance, performance tracking, vendor oversight, and infrastructure efficiency.
- Team Leadership and Organizational Influence: Leads and develops a high-performing, geographically distributed IT and cybersecurity team. Partners with leaders across the business, building a culture of agility, trust, and innovation.

Qualifications and Experience:

- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, with a Master’s or MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive IT leadership in complex, multi-site organizations, preferably in energy/industrial settings.
- Proven experience with ERP platforms (NAV/SAP), industrial systems (MES, SCADA, DCS), and IT/OT integration.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity standards and compliance (e.g., NIS2, ISO/IEC 27001)
- Familiarity with international operations and regulatory environments.
- Fluency in both French and English is considered an asset.
