The Inland Group of Companies is seeking a Vice President, Human Resources to serve as the strategic force behind all HR initiatives and oversee all people priorities across Inland’s operations in Canada, the U.S., and Europe.
What Does this Role Entail?
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and in close collaboration with Corporate and Operational leadership, the Vice President, HR acts as a trusted business partner to the senior leadership team, helping to fuel growth, spark innovation, and ensure long-term organizational success. The Vice President, HR works collaboratively with other members of the senior management team to align HR strategies with broader business goals and drive organizational performance.
The Vice President, HR is responsible for strategic planning to attract, develop, and retain top talent and leads the development and implementation of all people-related policies and programs. This includes employee engagement, compensation, benefits, recruitment, retention, performance management, employee relations, change management, culture, learning and development, and succession planning. Additionally, the Vice President, HR ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and affirmative action requirements, helping to position Inland as an employer of choice in all its markets.
This on-site position can be based in Enfield, NS; Truro, NS; or Charlotte, NC, and travel will be required.

As the ideal candidate, you:
- Bring 15+ years of progressive senior leadership experience in human resources management or equivalent senior-level experience within large, complex service industry environments. An advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field is preferred; a master’s degree or professional certification is considered an asset.
- Have a proven ability to lead workplace culture transformation, drive organizational change, and foster collaboration within and across teams.
- Excel at managing complex challenges such as collective bargaining and labor relations, bringing thoughtful options to the table and driving consensus.
- Demonstrate a collaborative and inclusive leadership style that fosters positive relationships and teamwork.
- Are innovative and proactive, using market insights to craft solutions that enhance employee engagement and improve organizational performance.
- Focus on accountability and data-driven solutions, leveraging relationships to support organizational goals while promoting a culture of collaboration and alignment.
