KBRS is pleased to have assisted BF&M in the recent appointment of Marianne Hood as the organization’s Chief Information Officer (CIO). Marianne is an established technology leader with significant international experience in financial services technology and operations spanning global markets, global banking, asset management, wealth management, brokerage, and retail markets.
Marianne is a progressive, results-driven leader. She has held senior leadership positions with industry leaders globally, including E*TRADE, Deutsche Bank, Deloitte and most recently, BMO Financial Group where she was Head of Business Enablement, US P&BB Technology. She has worked extensively in the US and Europe in the financial services industry.
In her role as CIO of BF&M, Marianne will be responsible for defining and delivering IT strategy and capabilities across the BF&M Group. She will be a key contributor to the company’s planning process and form strong, productive relationships with business unit leaders. Acting as a true partner, she will use strategic thinking and tactical implementation to make IT a business enabler.
Marianne holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, NS. She has a CA designation from the Nova Scotia Institute of Chartered Accountants.
