Jillian Somers named CEO, Destination Moncton-Dieppe

MONCTON, NB, February 25, 2022 - Raymond Roberge, General Manager of Delta Hotel Beauséjour, on behalf of the Board of Directors of Destination Moncton-Dieppe, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jillian Somers as CEO of Destination Moncton-Dieppe.

Jillian Somers has spent nearly 18 years with the City of Moncton, working in various areas of marketing and communications, event attraction and development, and most recently, as Director of Tourism and Events.

Jillian managed the City of Moncton’s tourism portfolio, promoting the region as a destination of choice for leisure, meetings and conventions and sport tourism. As a result, the area was consistently recognized as the top tourism performer in the Province of New Brunswick.

She is a member of the Tourism Industry Association of New Brunswick, Tourism Industry Association of Canada, and Sport Tourism Canada, and is a current member of the Canada Soccer Competitions Committee.

As a bilingual native Monctonian, Jillian is looking forward to building a strong team and continuing to promote her home region on the provincial, national and global stage.

A brand-new organization many years in the making, Destination Moncton-Dieppe is an independent, industry-driven destination marketing body for southeastern New Brunswick. Funded by a levy on hotel rooms collected by the Cities of Moncton and Dieppe, this third-party destination marketing organization will be the promotional arm driving tourism to our cities on the regional, national and international stages to increase visitation and enhance the economic impact for the tourism industry.
