Fredericton, NB –The Board of Directors of Inclusion NB is thrilled to share that Jake Reid will be joining the organization as its new Executive Director beginning January 10, 2024.

“Jake is a respected senior executive within the non-profit sector,” said Dianne Cormier Northrup, Interim Board President. “We will be well-served by his experience and passion for advocacy. Jake is absolutely committed to advancing the inclusion movement in New Brunswick.”

Reid held many senior roles and is the former Executive Director, New Brunswick Pharmacist’s Association, National Director of Government Relations, Diabetes Canada and Managing Director, New Brunswick Easter Seals.

A search committee of the Board was formed late last summer following the departure of Sarah Wagner, who joined the office of the New Brunswick Child, Youth and Seniors’ Advocate.

“There was tremendous interest in the role, and we received over 100 applications,” said Cormier Northup. “This is because of the reach and the efforts of our dedicated team of over 65 professionals across the province who support individuals with a developmental or intellectual disability and their families. Our work to create opportunities and build capacity has never been more critical and we know that Jake will lead us into the next chapter for our movement.”

Jake has extensive experience in government relations, executive leadership and shaping policy. He has been a member of several government committees and advisory groups, provided pre-budget submissions, presented to elected and nonelected health leaders, and has organized health policy discussions, summits and roundtables.

Jake holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Recreation and Leisure Studies from University of New Brunswick, Fredericton. He is a committed volunteer and lends his time and talent to several non-profit organizations in the Fredericton area, where he resides.
