KBRS is pleased to have assisted in the appointment of Amanda Alexander as the next Executive Director for Autism Nova Scotia. The following is an excerpt from their recent announcement.

Halifax, NS – Autism Nova Scotia is excited to announce the appointment of Amanda Alexander as its new Executive Director, effective immediately. After an extensive search process, Amanda’s outstanding leadership skills and deep commitment to the autism community made her the clear choice to lead the organization into its next chapter.
"On behalf of the Autism Nova Scotia Board, I’m thrilled to announce Amanda Alexander’s appointment, marking an exciting and inspiring new chapter for Autism Nova Scotia. She brings strong leadership, dedication and expertise to our province’s autism community,” said Catherine Rahey, Board Chair, Autism Nova Scotia. “I am confident that Amanda will continue to foster understanding, acceptance, and respect for Autistic individuals, building on the incredible foundation laid by our founders and past leaders.”
Amanda joined Autism Nova Scotia in 2019 as Director of Development, bringing a wealth of experience from respected organizations such as the Canadian Red Cross, Canadian Cancer Society, United Way Halifax, and Heart and Stroke. Over the past five years, she has played an instrumental role in advancing Autism Nova Scotia’s mission, cultivating strong relationships with partners, and driving impactful initiatives to support the Autism community.

Amanda’s appointment signals a bold step forward for Autism Nova Scotia as the organization continues its work to empower and support Autistic individuals and their families throughout the province, including moving towards the implementation of the Provincial Autism Plan.
