Sport Nova Scotia (SNS) is the leader and advocate for amateur sport in the province, representing more than 60 Provincial Sport Organizations and supporting over 160,000 Nova Scotians involved in sport as athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and administrators. Through leadership, advocacy, funding, and system coordination, the organization plays a central role in shaping how sport is delivered and experienced across the province.
Sport Nova Scotia is seeking its next Chief Executive Officer
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and strategic direction of Sport Nova Scotia. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO ensures the organization remains effective, credible, and sustainable while serving as the primary advocate and spokesperson for amateur sport in the province. The CEO works closely with government and system partners in a federated environment of member organizations.
This is a rare opportunity for a senior executive to lead an evolving organization with significant public visibility and meaningful social impact.

- The ability to learn quickly and build the capacity of the entire team through coaching and mentorship;
- Strong governance, financial, and operational decision-making (asset management considered an asset);
- Experience leading through change and transition, including strategic planning;
- Media-facing expertise from a public-facing advocacy role.
