KBRS is seeking a motivated, strategic, and relationship-driven People Strategy Specialist to become part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering innovative HR solutions and strategic support to organizations across Atlantic Canada and beyond.

KBRS is one of Canada’s leading executive search and talent advisory firms. With offices in Halifax, Toronto, Moncton, and St. John’s, we partner with organizations across sectors to identify, recruit, and develop leaders who make a difference. We are committed to building stronger organizations through stronger people. Our People Strategy Practice enables KBRS to provide integrated talent solutions to our clients beyond recruitment, including a wide variety of services such as HR advisory and consulting, DEI advisory, compensation consulting, talent development and coaching, and career transition and outplacement support.

We are guided by integrity, curiosity, and care for our clients, our candidates, and each other. Our work is grounded in partnership and purpose, helping leaders and organizations thrive through thoughtful, human-centered search and advisory solutions.

The Role

  • As the People Strategy Specialist, you will work closely with an experienced team to deliver exceptional client service by providing both administrative leadership and hands-on support for People Strategy projects. You’ll contribute to the development of engaging business development materials and program content, while also serving as a key connector between our practice capabilities and the broader organization.

  • This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable HR experience, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute meaningfully to project work that goes beyond administration.

  • Additionally, you will work in collaboration with the Marketing team to support initiatives and marketing activities that elevate the brand presence of the People Strategy practice, as needed.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Provide project management and administrative support for client engagements, which may include attending client meetings, assisting with facilitation, research, and creating materials to support engagements, from policy development to reports and presentations.

  • Develop and edit content for workshops, training, and speaking engagements.

  • Support compensation research, surveys, and data compilation.

  • Assist with proposal development, RFP submissions and tracking, and business development materials, including drafting, editing, and formatting the final document.

  • Coordinate logistics and distribution of psychometric assessments, surveys, and 360 reviews in collaboration with consultants and our Data Analytics Coordinator.

  • Manage CRM database updates, billing processes, and monthly data audits, ensuring opportunities are captured on behalf of the People Strategy consultants with timely and accurate information.

The Ideal Candidate

You are a curious, collaborative, and driven professional who thrives in a dynamic environment where relationships, results, and purpose intersect.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, tech-savvy, and a creative problem solver

  • Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to professional, empathetic, and solution-focused interactions

  • Proven project management skills and experience managing information databases

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Post-secondary education, research experience and/or a CPHR designation considered an asset

  • Experience in HR and/or post-secondary education in HR considered an asset

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel) and a curiosity and willingness to explore AI tools for process improvement and client solutions

  • Basic understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles with a commitment to continuous learning

Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
At KBRS, we believe diverse perspectives make for stronger teams and better outcomes. We strive to be an organization that is inclusive, supportive, and reflective of the communities and organizations we serve, and we encourage applications from all those candidates who would contribute to the diversity of our firm.
