In this era of marine innovation and growth, GIT is hiring a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to play a vital role in driving the organization towards its strategic goals and propelling it onto new horizons.

 

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the COO is responsible for:

 

  • Overseeing the manufacturing operations, optimizing efficiency, quality, and safety, while driving process improvements, capacity expansion, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Managing the supply chain, ensuring timely procurement, production, and delivery of products.
  • Recruiting, developing, and leading a high-performance team.
  • Establishing and maintaining high-quality standards for all products.
  • Effectively providing visionary leadership and strategic direction to our global operations, ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Expanding the global sales network and establishing strong partner relationships.
  • Playing a key role in the expansion of manufacturing facilities, warehousing, sales offices, and distribution channels across the globe.
  • Ensuring organizational compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.

 

Ideal Candidate Profile

 

As the ideal candidate, you are a highly strategic, dynamic, and results-oriented leader and bring a significant track record of experience at the executive-level. With experience leading a team of high-performing, skilled individuals, you have had responsibility for ensuring all operational aspects of an organization are optimized and aligned with the organization’s long-term, strategic goals. You bring experience leading complex operations within a manufacturing, shipping, supply chain, or logistics environment. Along with strong financial acumen, you possess a deep understanding of quality assurance, safety, and risk management practices, and the standardization of operational processes. Moreover, you are a strategic thinker and commercial leader who understands market dynamics, customer needs, and industry trends and has a strong focus on business activities, particularly those related to revenue generation, profit maximization, and achieving commercial success. Specific experience in the marine or manufacturing industry would be considered a significant asset.

With an entrepreneurial spirit, you thrive in rapidly growing and evolving environments and bring with you a track record of scaling up operations. An engaged and empathetic leader, you are able to inspire and motivate teams to achieve success through coaching and mentorship. You are innovative and strategic, enabling you to create and execute operational plans aligned with an organization’s long-term direction and goals. A natural communicator, you have exceptional negotiation skills and are naturally persuasive. Finally, you are willing to travel internationally as required to meet the demands of the global industry.
