What Does This Role Entail?
Reporting to the Senior Vice-President, the Vice-President will lead CGI’s Atlantic Canadian consulting business, including its Director Consulting Services (DCS) and Director Consulting Expert (DCE) leadership, and have overall accountability for the regional P&L.
Business development and regional growth will be central to the mandate. The Vice-President will spend a significant portion of their time in the market—building executive relationships, developing new opportunities, expanding existing strategic accounts and strengthening CGI’s presence across Atlantic Canada.

- Develop and execute the regional consulting and growth strategy aligned with CGI Canada’s priorities.
- Own the financial performance of the business, including revenue growth, bookings, profitability, pipeline, forecasting, utilization and overall P&L performance.
- Personally build relationships with senior executives and decision-makers across the public and private sectors and position CGI as a trusted strategic partner.
- Originate, shape and advance significant consulting opportunities, expand strategic accounts and develop new client relationships.
- Lead executive sales discussions, major pursuits and strategic negotiations, working with CGI leaders and experts to differentiate CGI and convert market opportunities into sustainable revenue.
- Strengthen leadership capability and build a high-performing, accountable and engaged consulting organization.
- Provide executive oversight of consulting delivery, client satisfaction, portfolio performance and significant client or delivery risks.
- Bring together CGI’s regional, national and global capabilities to address complex client business and technology challenges.
- Identify emerging market opportunities and expand CGI’s capabilities in areas such as AI, digital transformation, cloud, cybersecurity and data, while supporting the development of new consulting offerings.
- Represent CGI as a senior executive in the Atlantic Canadian business community through industry associations, executive networks, strategic partnerships, conferences and community leadership.

- Bring progressive senior leadership experience, ideally within consulting, professional services or a technology-enabled business, with demonstrated success leading complex organizations and delivering sustained commercial growth.
- Have proven experience with P&L accountability and achieving revenue, bookings and profitability objectives.
- Have a strong record of business development and consultative selling, including personally creating and advancing significant opportunities and expanding strategic client relationships.
- Understand the Atlantic Canadian marketplace and bring a well-established executive network across the region.
- Bring the executive presence and credibility to develop trusted relationships with CEOs, CIOs and other senior executives, as well as senior government and public-sector leaders.
- Understand how consulting services are bought and sold and can navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales environments from initial relationship and opportunity creation through pursuit, negotiation and close.
- Are a commercially minded, strategic and forward-looking leader who understands the levers that drive a successful consulting business and can translate market opportunities into clear business priorities and measurable results.
- Have experience leading and developing senior leaders, building leadership bench strength, supporting succession and creating an environment of accountability, trust and collaboration.
- Bring strong financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to balance growth, profitability, investment, delivery, client and people considerations.
- Build trust quickly across diverse stakeholder groups. Curious and consultative, you listen well, ask thoughtful questions, communicate with confidence and navigate differing perspectives effectively.
- Bring sufficient technology fluency to engage credibly with executives on areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud, cybersecurity, data and digital transformation, while knowing when to draw upon specialist expertise.
- Are comfortable operating within a large, matrixed global organization and can build alignment and mobilize expertise across businesses, functions and geographies.
- Are comfortable representing CGI externally and building relationships across the Atlantic Canadian business, government, technology, academic and innovation communities.
Education and Experience
- A degree in business, technology or a related discipline is preferred, with an MBA or equivalent graduate degree considered a strong asset.
- The successful candidate will bring extensive consulting or professional-services leadership experience, demonstrated P&L and commercial accountability, a strong record of business development and executive relationship management, and a history of building high-performing organizations and sustainable business growth.
The role is based in Nova Scotia, with a regular presence in CGI’s Halifax office and travel throughout Atlantic Canada.
