Shannex is seeking a Vice President, Marketing, Communications & Experience to drive the organization’s brand vision, integrated marketing efforts, digital engagement and customer experience. As Shannex expands, the VP is tasked with using our rich data to deliver on brand promise as we meaningfully impact lives. Leading a team of ~17 across NS, NB and ON, the VP is responsible for leading the development and execution of traditional marketing as well as digital innovation as we enhance our ecommerce business and market our lifestyle offerings beyond residents.

What this role entails:

Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the VP leads traditional and digital marketing to create a cohesive experience in our facilities, in our messaging and across our emerging digital solutions, including ecommerce and apps. The VP must also manage marketing technology platforms and their integration to enhance personalization and campaign effectiveness. 

This role is based at head office in Bedford, Nova Scotia, with occasional travel required. 

As the ideal candidate, you:
  • Bring 15+ years of progressive leadership in brand, marketing, customer experience and communications, including leading a diverse team of creatives, analysts and operators.
  • Consider yourself at the forefront of the rapidly changing digital experience environment and have proven ability to adapt and innovate with customer behavior. 
  • Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment where you have autonomy to make decisions and quickly action practical solutions.
  • Are comfortable navigating large, complex businesses to find allies and optimize systems that impact the function.
  • You are known for your ability to motivate and inspire while holding teammates accountable to metrics and attainment goals.
  • You hold a degree in marketing, business, communications or another related field (Masters preferred).
  • Bring exposure to a highly decentralized, 24/7 service industry where innovation and customer service are paramount.
