Shauna’s professional approach to recruitment and her determination to surpass client expectations, drive her success in attracting top talent for health care organizations. She has played an integral role in completing hundreds of successful searches, gaining extensive experience in candidate research and honing her thoughtful, consultative style. 

Shauna joined KBRS in 2014 and has played a critical role in supporting the Executive Search practice for more than 5 years, addressing the needs of public, private, and academic sector organizations across the country.

With a Master of Science degree in Applied Psychology (Industrial Organizational Psychology) from Saint Mary’s University, Shauna has extensively studied such topics as recruitment, employee engagement, and retention. She has conducted research on behalf of several health care organizations and received prominent awards including scholarships from the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada and the Nova Scotia Health Research Foundation. Shauna also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Psychology from Memorial University of Newfoundland. 

Shauna is passionate about strengthening communities. She has volunteered extensively with community organizations to support disadvantaged populations and to provide professional development opportunities for youth, young professionals, and newcomers to Canada.

Before joining KBRS, Shauna worked in a variety of roles including HR Consultant with a private practice, Research Technician with a publicly-traded professional services firm, and Organizational Effectiveness and Health and Safety professional with a leading Canadian energy company.
