FYI: Anne-Marie Gammon named CEO, CPA Education Atlantic

KBRS is pleased to have assisted CPA Education Atlantic with the appointment of Anne-Marie Gammon, FCMA as its first Chief Executive Officer.

As a part of the unification of the Canadian accounting profession, CPA Education Atlantic will deliver the new CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP), as well as the Prerequisite Education Program (CPA PREP) on behalf of all CA, CMA and CGA legacy bodies in the Atlantic Provinces and Bermuda.

Anne-Marie joins CPA Education Atlantic from the recently created CPA Canada where she was Director, Education Services and CMA Canada, where she was Vice President, Program Development.  Over the last two years with CPA Canada and CMA Canada, Anne-Marie has played a key leadership role in the development of the new accounting program, serving as past co-Chair of the former national CPA Certification Steering Committee comprised of representatives from each of the CA, CMA and CGA legacy bodies.

Before joining CMA Canada, Anne-Marie was the Chief Financial Officer for Atlantis Systems Corp. and prior to that she spent 9 years in progressively responsible roles with ING Real Estate Canada where she ultimately became the Vice President, Financial Reporting.

An experienced educator, Anne-Marie has been a moderator for CMA’s Strategic Leadership Program for 20 years.  Anne-Marie is Past President of CMA Nova Scotia and past Chair of the CMA Canada Research Foundation.

We are very pleased that she’s agreed to take on this exciting new role.”

Anne-Marie obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick and earned her CMA designation in New Brunswick in 1990. She was honoured with the Fellow of the Society of Management Accountants’ designation in 2003, and earned her Master of Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University in 2012. She is presently Vice President, At Large with the Canadian Academic Accounting Association.
