Reporting to the President & Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play an important role in the leadership of the company and the execution of its business strategy, with responsibility for the oversight of financial reporting, risk management and audit, budgeting, performance management, financial planning, internal controls, and tax planning.   You will be responsible for the ongoing development and oversight of the financial processes and internal controls required to keep pace with the demands of a growing business and all associated regulatory/compliance requirements; you will develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as your colleagues on the leadership team, financial institutions, auditing firms, and legal advisors.   A hands-on business and financial expert, you will ensure the company has the right structure, the right people, and the functional capabilities to achieve its strategic plans, while safeguarding the company’s assets and financial stability.   Working collaboratively with the Executive Team, you will consistently provide reliable financial advice, accurate analysis and good judgment while making sound recommendations upon which significant business decisions can be made.  

The ideal candidate has a professional accounting designation and a post secondary degree, combined with senior financial leadership experience, preferably within a fast-paced and entrepreneurial organization.   You have a successful track record and expertise in identifying and driving value in an organization, as well as a reputation for being a trusted business advisor who fosters strategic organizational growth and development.   You have the ability to communicate financial analytics in a clear and concise manner and you are highly capable of leading complex negotiations. You are a big-picture thinker who is comfortable and effective working both at a strategic and a tactical level.   You have natural interpersonal and communication skills and you can build seamless working relationships with operational and financial leaders across an organization in order to provide a current and accurate financial perspective to the senior leadership team.   You are astute, savvy, and can implement effective action plans which take advantage of opportunities for generating positive results; a strong detail orientation, excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills; confident with low ego, candid, and a team player who is open-minded and patient in your approach to business; results oriented with the ability to prioritize and deliver on key initiatives.   As the CFO, you will thrive on challenges and success and maintain a strong commitment to the company’s values and mission.
