Chief Executive Officer, Amba Health and Care

Amba Health and Care was founded in 2020, with an intent to help tackle the growing adult care crisis in the UK and around the world. Originally intended to provide peace of mind, it is a uniquely comprehensive and configurable application that integrates mainstream digital equipment to provide a service that is highly personalised and delivers predictive and actionable insights to support senior’s independence. Their solution passively gathers and analyses information, automatically informing users of simple changes they can make to improve their health, safety and wellbeing. These changes allow the user to prolong their independence, with limited assistance from family, friends, or carers.

The board of Amba, along with its established investment partners, is seeking a CEO to grow the business within North American markets. The successful candidate will have exceptional leadership skills having built integrated teams in a growing technology company environment. They will be responsible for executing the strategic objectives of the company and overseeing scalability in North America. In doing so, they will also work closely with the existing executive, sales and product development teams based in the UK and Canada.

Key areas of oversight and responsibility are:
• Oversee all aspects of the company’s operations.
• Develop and execute strategic and fiscal planning for North American scalability.
• Collaborate with the rest of the executive leadership team to optimize the growth and performance of the organization.
• Negotiate critical supply contracts for required equipment and sensors.
• Develop distribution partnerships throughout North America.
• Meet the overall sales targets and KPIs for the company.
• Build customer awareness and establish the brand in North America.

Qualifications needed:
• 10-20 years of progressive leadership experience in the med-tech, medical device, pharmaceutical, and/or technology industries. Experience in a growth or start-up setting is an asset.
• Graduate degree (preferably MBA, MHA or MPH), engineering degree, and/or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Strong financial management skills.
• A strong network within the North American medical sector is an asset.
• An established track record of business development in the North American Market.
• Experience building a sales team, preferably with experience in bringing a new product to market.
