Superintendent, Anglophone School District--South

Situated in the beautiful Southern region of New Brunswick, the District was formed in 2012 and is one of the seven school districts in New Brunswick. Operating 69 public schools and overseeing the curriculum of licensed Early Learning Centres, the district serves children and youth ranging from birth to Grade 12. The district serves approximately 23,000 students, and 3,200 staff, which includes both teachers and support staff. The district is subdivided into 3 regions, called "education centres", Hampton (Former District 6), Saint John (Former District 8), and St. Stephen (Former District 10). ASD-S is headquartered in Saint John, New Brunswick.

KBRS has partnered with ASD-S in seeking the next Superintendent to lead their organization.

Reporting to the District Education Council, the Superintendent will be responsible for the leadership and overall management of the school system including programs and student services, finance, operations, and human resources.

With a passion for public education, you will lead the development and advancement of best practices in educational management while ensuring program initiatives and strategic goals are in line with the vision and mandate of the District that strives for excellence in education. You will be critical to the positive vision for public education, and you will foster and maintain strong relationships within the community. Always leading through the lens of “Shaping a Positive Future for Every Child/Youth”, you will foster an environment of student focus, trust, positivity, and collaboration among all stakeholders.

As the ideal candidate, you have served as a strategic and visionary educational leader within the public school system. You bring a passion for enabling student success and a reputation for fostering a culture that supports excellence, communication, collaboration, innovation and celebrates diversity. When it comes to building effective working relationships, you are a natural. Your well-developed interpersonal and communications skills have allowed you to build strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders including teachers, principals, community and business leaders, government officials and the general public.
