Our Dartmouth based client delivers professional services to a large number of clients through a group of seriously talented individuals. The organization is amongst the best in their field. To support their work, they need to hire great people who know how to keep the machine running behind the scenes. As the business continues to grow at an above average pace, the organization needs to add a Director who is capable of being great at a lot of things.
The Director is a generalist who has learned a little bit about everything to do with running a business, whether it is HR, marketing, accounting, IT, administration, business development or general operations. You know enough, and are comfortable enough, to provide leadership and direction to teams of functional specialists. You are naturally inclined to see opportunities for improvement while teaching others how to develop similar skills. You love to help others achieve goals, and you have a natural instinct to be service oriented. And most importantly, you can bend and flex according to the needs of the business.
This role is broad in its reach: you will report to the Vice President, and you will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, all of whom are seriously capable but do not take themselves too seriously. The work is very enjoyable, but it is not easy; it will challenge even the most capable leaders due to the nature of the services provided.
