Vice President, Business Intelligence

Reporting to the President and Chief Operating Officer, and as a member of the senior leadership team, Steele’s inaugural Vice President, Business Intelligence will play a transformational role on the ground floor of building a Data Team that will enable better informed business decisions. The Vice President, Business Intelligence will develop and lead a core team of data engineering, data science, and analytics resources in the delivery of enterprise-level strategic initiatives with a focus on enhancing overall customer experience.

You will play a key role in business growth and strategy as you define and execute the vision for our data, develop the roadmap and growth opportunities for related metrics and provide direction on the development, requirements, communication, and deployment of the collection, reporting, use and integration of our data. As a technical expert with highly refined business acumen, you will be key in developing a Center of Excellence and mentoring other technical resources. As a people leader, you will be a motivating and inspiring coach, identifying areas for improvement and elevating your team.

What does the ideal candidate bring?

Strong leadership experience in progressive roles at complex organizations. Ideally, you have already built this function and can tell us what we don’t know. Along with exceptional project management skills and experience implementing best in class data infrastructure, you have a successful track record as a leader and subject matter expert in cutting-edge business intelligence design and implementation in a customer-focused environment. You are a results-oriented and high-performance professional who builds relationships across organizations with a demonstrated passion and drive to succeed and to inspire operational excellence. You can help design and see the vision for business growth, while also understanding the tactical and technical aspects of getting it actioned. You have vision and foresight and are highly strategic but equally comfortable leading a team through all aspects of execution.
