Riverview Enhanced Living (REL) is a community of care, support, and advocacy for adults with diverse abilities. Reporting to the Board of Directors of REL, the Chief Executive Officer will inspire, engage, empower and provide sound operational and fiscal management and strategic direction to a talented and passionate team. You will work closely with the Board to set and enhance the policies, programs, and strategies that guide the organization and advance the vision of becoming leaders for inclusive communities. You will be accountable for leading a team of over 100 who provide support services to 100 clients in the Adult Residential Center, as well as several independent living residents. You will develop, maintain and nurture effective and respectful working relationships with a variety of stakeholders including community partners, funding agencies and staff. You will provide administrative, human resources and fiscal management of the Adult Residential Centre and other facilities under the operation of REL which provide programs and services in accordance with the Homes for Special care Act. As the public face and lead spokesperson of REL, you will enhance its profile within the community, advocate on its behalf, and make a significant contribution to its long-term success.

As the ideal candidate, you are a highly respectful and progressive leader with a proven ability to effectively guide day-to-day operations while ensuring the organization is consistently evolving in the pursuit of its strategic goals and objectives. Along with a post-secondary degree (ideally within human services), you have five or more years of senior leadership experience, strong business and financial acumen, and are highly proficient and comfortable managing the budgets, programs, facilities, and general operations of an organization. You will have a track record of being successful in navigating an organization through change, and helping all those affected by it to adapt and thrive in their new environment. A natural relationship builder with superior interpersonal and communications skills, you can build strong, productive and collaborative relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders and you have earned a reputation for being client-focused, community-minded, innovative and inclusive in your approach to leadership. Highly compassionate and empathetic, a good listener who is open-minded, flexible and committed to coaching and developing others, you will inspire the team to reach new heights of dedication, effectiveness and success in driving the mandate of Riverview Enhanced Living to enhance the independence of adults with diverse abilities.
