Chief Executive Officer

We are pleased to work with our client, one of the largest independent distributors of medical supplies in Canada with more than 100 full-time employees, in the search for their next Chief Executive Officer.

A Canadian-based, privately held company, our client is dedicated to providing exceptional service to its customers through industry-leading responsiveness and by providing a broad and relevant product offering, improving distribution costs and efficiencies while increasingly becoming a one-stop shop. It has strategically located warehouses across the country enabling next day delivery to its customers. It sells primarily to independent and corporate pharmacy chains and has established significant headway into the long term care and alternative health markets.

We are looking for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead this profitable and growing business, headquartered in Atlantic Canada, that provides essential medical supplies which improve the lives of Canadians across the country. Reporting to a newly formed Board of Directors, the CEO will provide leadership and management of all day-to-day business functions including operations, logistics, human resources, IT, sales, and business development and ensure an exceptional customer experience. The CEO will continually identify key priorities and activities and implement appropriate key performance indicators that consistently measure sales and customer service performance in a business-to-business distribution environment.

As the ideal candidate you are a proven executive leader with a wealth of experience in entrepreneurial, growth-oriented business. You bring broad operational business acumen in supply chain, finance, sales and supplier and client contract negotiation and management, preferably within a distribution and/or e-commerce business. You have a successful track record as a relationship builder and calculated risk taker, identifying and pursuing opportunities for growth with strategic partners. You have a reputation for being a trusted business leader who fosters a strong corporate culture of continuous improvement and success.
