Reporting to the CEO, and as a member of the Executive Team, the Chief Marketing & Sales Officer (CMO) will position the company for future success by setting the strategy for Genoa to optimize its current market and leverage that success into new and broader markets that will fuel the company’s future growth. The CMO will lead three core teams at Genoa: Innovation, Marketing & Communications, and Business Development (Sales), setting direction for these teams to collaboratively develop and implement strategies and action plans that will secure Genoa’s market position and pipeline. The CMO will be responsible for all core activities that drive revenue growth and reflect the company’s vision and philosophy, while upholding excellent working relationships and common goals with Finance, Delivery, and Capability. The CMO will lead by example in enhancing the company’s profile and performance by consistently promoting its mission and full range of products and services.
The ideal candidate is a highly experienced senior marketing and sales executive within entrepreneurial environments and has a solid track record of maximizing growth potential within a competitive landscape. You have earned the reputation of being an excellent leader, collaborator, and mentor with demonstrated success in building high performance teams that consistently anticipate market needs and deliver on expectations. You have a track record of success in working in highly technical, innovative environments and a demonstrated awareness of the specific needs of large procurement customers. Your financial, analytical, and general business skills enable you to implement and monitor budgets, key performance metrics and industry data, and to lead the changes required to effectively address evolving business priorities and fiscal objectives. You develop a collegial culture within your team, and you are genuinely committed to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion within the workplace. You have the leadership experience, the sales and marketing expertise, and the people management skills to successfully lead a diverse team who will consistently anticipate clients’ needs and ensure that Genoa is the supplier of choice for existing and future customers.
