Chief Executive Officer

The Commissionaires of New Brunswick and PEI is a division of the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires, Canada's premier security provider with a social mandate to provide meaningful employment that meets the needs of veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, their families and others who wish to contribute to the security and well-being of Canadians. The Commissionaires’ regional offices provide security and related services to all federal, provincial, and municipal governments as well as police forces and numerous commercial clients. They are a full-service security provider offering trained security guards, enforcement services, identification services along with a variety of other evolving services to meet the changing market demands.

As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will provide the strategic and operational vision while demonstrating leadership and managing all organizational change necessary which will optimize the performance of the division and guide the organization to best respond to the needs of the modern veteran as well as an ever-evolving market. You will adapt the organization to meet clients’ needs and expectations, today and in the future. You will oversee the management of day to day operations; financial stewardship; contract management; development of the team; business development; as well as promoting the Division through notworking, relationship building, and management.

As the ideal candidate, you have at least 10 years of senior leadership experience within high performing organizations and can guide a team towards a future with more diversified service offerings. You are highly analytical, detailed, and creative with excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. You have a proven ability to assess and ensure operational effectiveness and to identify opportunities for improving efficiency and client service; can develop and communicate a vision, management philosophy, and sound business strategy, deliver both operationally and fiscally, while implementing procedures and strategic benchmarks which will help the organization make its short and long-term objectives a reality; a self-starter who makes things happen with an ability to set priorities and objectives. You have a proven track record in managing organizational change and re- orienting corporate culture to fundamental shifts in business focus. Good knowledge of financial and accounting principles and systems is essential as well as sound judgment and timely decision-making. Familiarity with military and/or police organizations are helpful experiences. Bilingualism is an asset.
