As a key member of Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette's Human Resources Consulting team, April’s interest in people quickly puts clients at ease. Her expertise in delivering focused career direction is built on a unique combination of honesty, a natural ability to “connect” with people, and a passion to see clients through to success.
April is a Certified Career Coach, Myers Briggs practitioner, and a trained group facilitator. Her background includes marketing and senior administrative roles within the federal government, recruitment, and communications sectors. Over the past eight years, April has tapped into her experience, knowledge, and intuitiveness to provide guidance on career management issues to hundreds of clients.
An active community member, April is proud to be the Chair of the African Nova Scotian Advisory Committee to the Halifax Regional School Board and on the Board of Directors for the Africville Heritage Trust. She has been involved with the Co-operative Housing Sector and presently serves on the board of a local housing co-operative. A great organizer of events, she has been a key contributor to a number of company-sponsored events and fundraising initiatives in support of the Nova Scotia Sport Fund and the IWK Health Centre.
Currently, April resides in the Dartmouth area with her husband and two sons.
