Vice President

Reporting to the Managing Partner and the Executive Committee, the Vice President (along with the current Vice President) will be responsible for co-managing all non-legal operations such as administration, marketing, human resources, facilities and equipment and office services.  While ensuring sound operational oversight, the Vice President will work closely with the Managing Partner to develop and implement business plans which detail the strategic goals and objectives of the firm, as well as marketing strategies, operating budgets, cost controls, performance measurements, administrative and human resources policies, priorities and procedures.  You will anticipate and plan for the firm’s evolving needs and ensure that an appropriate and efficient organizational structure is in place and provide advice and regular updates to the Managing Partner on compliance obligations and the progress toward all established fiscal and business objectives. 

The ideal candidate has at least 10 years’ experience as a senior leader within a corporate or professional services environment, along with strong business and financial acumen.  You have made a significant contribution to the success of organizations in previous roles and you are a respected strategic leader with superior communication and relationship building skills.  You understand the value and impact of consensus building and effective communications; you are proficient in cost management and budgeting; can effectively balance an appropriate level of risk with opportunities; well-honed professional presentation skills and a strong detail orientation; sound analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills.
 
Good knowledge and understanding of the legal profession and related issues would be beneficial but equally important is an understanding of how to manage in an owner-operated business or professional services firm.  You are a dynamic operations leader with a visible management style and you will consistently balance responsibility and accountability with a drive for delivering results.
