C-CORE is currently seeking an experienced senior leader to join their dynamic team as President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador.
As the President & CEO, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for a team of over 70 scientists, engineers and other professionals. Reporting to the Board of Directors, you will be charged with developing and implementing C-CORE’s strategic plan and policies. You will work to establish the current and long-range objectives for the business plan, including business development, marketing, financial planning and human resources. As the leader of the organization, you will represent the corporation to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring visibility and recognition for the contributions made by C-CORE to all constituencies that are served. Your considerable business acumen and practical focus complements your direct but engaging leadership approach.
As the ideal candidate, you likely have a Professional Engineering designation with a degree in Engineering or Applied Science, matched with a number of years working in research and development or equivalent education and experience. A graduate degree would also be considered an asset. A proven track record of developing and managing complex applied research and innovation activities, while establishing client-centric industry partnerships would be a significant asset as would experience developing and growing new business lines and successfully commercializing proven technologies.
You have developed collaborative networks with national or international organizations including, but not limited to, those in the academic, private, government and other scientific sectors. You have a natural ability to develop deep relationships and foster a positive and innovative workplace culture. Your demonstrated change-management experience, and action-oriented leadership style has contributed to both your career and to your organization’s success. You bring passion and drive to build on and expand C-CORE’s record of success.
